National Japanese American UMC Convocation

The National Japanese American United Methodist Caucus (NJAUMC) invites you to REGISTER for the Clergy & Laity Convocation! This year’s theme is “Learning from the Past, Living in the Present, and Building for the Future.”

This is an epic, once-in-a-lifetime celebration honoring our three Japanese American United Methodist bishops – Bishop Robert T. Hoshibata, Bishop Roy I. Sano, and Bishop Grant J. Hagiya. We will celebrate each of their ministries and the courage, insight, and sacrifices that they made for the Japanese American community while paving the way for future leaders in ministry and beyond.

The NJAUMC Clergy & Laity Convocation will take place from Friday, October 18- Saturday, October 19, 2019. The primary location will be at Faith UMC in Torrance, CA.

The Bishops’ Celebration Dinner Reception on October 19 at 6:00 pm and will be at the Ken Miller Recreation Center located at 3341 Torrance Blvd., Torrance, CA 90503. If anyone has young children and is interested in childcare, please fill out the Faith UMC Health Form for Youth and Children (below).
